FIRST PLACE HOUSING PROVIDES MUCH-NEEDED SAFE AND SECURE HOUSING FOR THE LEAST ADVANTAGED FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN. THE HOMELESS FACTORS FOR THE SEATTLE AREA PLACE A GROWING NUMBER OF FAMILIES INTO THE REALITY OR RISK OF BEING HOMELESS. FIRST PLACE HAS MADE HOUSING FAMILIES A KEY ELEMENT OF WHAT WE DO FOR CHILDREN AND THE ADULTS WHO CARE FOR THEM.

Imani Village is a 16-unit townhome that provides permanent subsidized housing with case management. This housing community is next to Seattle's Central District's First Place Education and Operations Building. We also manage and bring case management to families living in the Nhon’s Place apartments, which house low-income families. We provide transitional housing to families at the most significant risk of homelessness, those who need to bring structure to their lives and create a stable living situation for themselves and their children.

Like many families who live with housing instability, what we do for vulnerable children and their parents keeps them out of unsafe environments and provides them with a living environment that is supportive and provides the family with stable living. Our housing is in a changing community with increased rents.

Our fundraising allows us to subsidize rents and provide family case management with the expectation that the families will become stable and fix the issues to elevate their ability for stable, safe, and secure housing. Allow their children to grow up in a neighborhood where they can grow.
